Andryy
(Pop from Zurich, Switzerland)
Andri began his musical journey on the flute before discovering the guitar at age 16, thanks to his sister. After studying pop music and gaining experience through various band projects, he channeled his creativity into a solo project under the name Andryy.
With his very first EP, Das isch mini erschti EP, merci fürs Lose, the Winterthur-based multi-instrumentalist made it clear in 2020 that he was here to stay with his contemporary pop and Swiss German lyrics. Not only did other Swiss artists immediately declare themselves fans—the media landscape also took notice of the young artist’s potential: Andryy made the front page of 20 Minuten, received plenty of radio airplay, and also won over television audiences in a TV show.
In 2021, he released Gheimnis, his four-song second EP, which came out on the Lucerne-based boutique label Orange Peel Records and was streamed over half a million times within a year. Songs like “Julia” and the title track quickly became radio favorites, solidifying Andryy’s reputation as a musician and propelling him to become a sought-after live act. This allowed him to showcase his talent as a gifted entertainer at renowned events such as the Winterthur Music Festival and the Seat Music Session, while his song “Gold” became the official song of the 2022 Floorball World Championships, earning him a spot at the Sports Awards continued to steadily gain new fans.
Shortly thereafter, in 2023, he released his third EP, Geisterfahrer, and was named “Best Talent” at the Swiss Music Awards. With his debut album “wänn du da bisch,” released in 2025, he establishes himself as a Swiss pop star with an unmistakable formula for touching songs in the local dialect: using precise imagery to explore universal themes and a sound that is as simple as it is versatile, Andryy delivers a compelling album-length performance more than ever before.
