Julie Fox
(Folk artist based in Chur, Switzerland)
Indie folk musician Julie Fox is the project of Giulia Gasser, an artist from Graubünden and Ticino, and has been around since 2023. Her debut album Homeward Bound (2024), produced together with Joris Amann (Bastian Baker, Maryne, Stain of Light), was well received: singles such as ‘Long Days’, “Pilgrim” and ‘Flower’ were played on radio stations throughout Switzerland (including SRF1, Radio Swiss Pop, RTR, RTS, Rete Uno, Rete Tre) and Germany (Bayern 2, SR2 Kultur).
In June 2025, Julie Fox released the first single from her second EP, Each Heart Is a Garden, which has already been featured on SRF1 and SRF3. The second single, ‘Best Years’, was selected as mx3 All For 1’ in October and, in addition to live interviews and reports on national radio (SRF1Swissmade, RTR, RSI, etc.), the new songs were once again played on radio stations throughout Switzerland.
With Each Heart Is a Garden, indie folk musician Julie Fox presents her second EP – a collection of songs that sound like vast landscapes: clear, powerful and full of emotion. The musician from Graubünden and Ticino remains true to her style – rooted in folk tradition, but with bold pop melodies that immediately touch the listener. The result is a work that tells stories of finding one's own voice and the power of genuine connection.
The first single ‘Each Heart Is a Garden’ has already been presented and played on SRF1 and SRF3. The second single, “Best Years,” was selected as “mx3 All For 1” in October and received airplay throughout Switzerland on SRF3, RTR, RTS Couleur 3, and Rete Tre – a preview of the EP, which will be released on 29 November 2025. The EP was produced together with Joris Amann, between Julie's home studio in Chur and his studio in Lausanne. Further advance tracks (‘Mountain Bluebird’ on 10 October, ‘All These Voices’ on 14 November) will lead up to the full release in a waterfall release.
Supported by a collective of musician friends from Graubünden and Zurich, Julie Fox is now bringing these songs to the stage for the first time.
